As far im concerned, there havent been any, well at least for us anyway,Thank goodness coach Scott can draft,Im positive he found the best players availible when the Hornets were on the clock,Collison and Thornton,Marcus lead all rookies in scoring average during the Vegas summer league, while Collison showed an all around game that kinda surprised me,yeah i knew he {Collison} played in a jillion final fours and was far from an unknown, one thing that kinda bugged me bout the whole summer league thing wasnt our record there,it was that JUJU didnt shine like I,and I bet a whole lotta other people thought he would, our record in the summer league doesnt really matter at all,its just like pre-season football, but less important, now that we have added a good back-up point, and a shooting guard that looks to be a real threat scoring wise{no offense to SulBop or MoPete},cuz Sul did provide some much needed points and big shots from time to time, but im a lil concerned we didnt get a guy to spell my dude D-West,we are still a lil thin in our front-court,and if last year were any indication its looks as if our big mans days are numbered, all of us die-hard hornets fans see the Chandler jerzeys 50% off in the stores, and it hurts, cuz we need him,we need him and we need Hilton to be a bigger presence on our team, that is before he goes elsewhere and figures out how to do so,witch kills me when it goes down like that,ie J.R. Smith,Brandon Bass, and yep the Birdman just to name a few,It seems as if all the teams that we have been neck and neck with the past 2 seasons have only gotten better while we look to be {dare i say} running in place,i mean look at what the spurs, mavericks, lakers have been up to,Its almost like our GM said "well we have Chris Paul,I've done my job".{Thats not an actuall quote},but still i know that the Hornets are not far away from the championship, but as the saying goes,So close yet so far away, what do yall think?

FleurdeBee21, 1 year ago | FlagUnderstandably, all us fans are getting antsy and it seems all these big name free agents are slipping through our fingers. But people need to have some faith - I can't believe that the Hornets will stay put and sign nobody this summer. It is evident from last season that we need bench help. We are just financially strapped and need to be crafty on the deals we make. I'll trust that Bower knows what he's doing. Keep the faith Hornets fans!
(Side note: I think it is hilarious to read comments of the "fans" criticizing every move made or not made by the Hornets on different sites. Guaranteed all these people were on the bandwagon in 07-08 - where was the "expertise" back then?)
As far as us getting rid of players and seeing them blossom with other teams, it happens. Enough with the JR, Bass, Birdman talk. It is part of the game. I was in Chicago when the Bulls had Chandler and look what happened when he came here...big improvement. Collison and Thornton were great pickups and are going to be a positive contribution to the bench. I agree with J-reed, just a couple pieces away.
